FLEET AND EQUIPMENT

At Reef Subsea we are committed to providing client satisfaction on every project. We strive to ensure our equipment will provide a safe and effective solution for our client’s projects and to acquire the most appropriate fleet and equipment for every task.

Reef Subsea companies’ fleet includes:

  • Polar King : a new-built state of the art subsea construction support vessel. She commenced offshore operations early May 2011 and has been permanently busy since then. The Polar King is a ideal for construction support, IRM and cable laying in both oil & gas and renewables market sectors.
  • Polar Prince : She has just achieved a long term cable laying charter in the Renewables industry but can also address construction support and IRM work.
  • Neptune Despina (soon to be renamed Reef Despina): sister ship of Larissa, she has been designed with Ulstein X-Bow to enjoy faster transit speed in head seas and reduced fuel consumption. An environmentally and work friendly vessel. She will be delivered to Reef Subsea towards the end of January 2012 (read more).
  • Neptune Larissa (soon to be renamed Reef Larissa): sister ship of Despina, she has been designed for worldwide and deepwater services. Her 150t crane is able to work in over 2000m water depth, and her ROVs are designed for operations in water depth up to 3000m. She will be delivered to Reef Subsea towards the end of January 2012 (read more).

Polar King and Polar Prince are operated by Technocean and Reef Subsea Power & Umbilical, and time chartered from GC Rieber Shipping. Neptune Despina and Neptune Larissa are operated by Reef Subsea Group companies’.

Equipment

Reef Subsea currently has eight Triton work ROVs , capable of working below 3000 metres, including four based in Aberdeen.

For Seabed Dredging activities, Reef Subsea Power & Umbilical has just announced an order for a new Jet Trench ROV that will be available in the Summer 2012.

For Seabed Dredging activities , Scanmudring designs and builds its own equipment which has consistently demonstrated extremely impressive efficiency, reliability and uptime records. This equipment comes in various sizes, including smaller units that can be attached to an ROV.

Rotech Subsea provides the most powerful, market leading, unique range of Controlled Flow Excavation tools in the world. Application include pipeline, umbilical and cable trenching, pipeline deburial, rock dump removal, wellhead excavation, seabed preparation for platform, rig and sea defence installation, etc. Equipment operates in water depths from 2-1000m and beyond.
